Anne Valente

Anne Valente is the author of a short story collection, By Light We Knew Our Names (Dzanc Books, 2014), and a novel, Our Hearts Will Burn Us Down (William Morrow/HarperCollins, 2016). Her fiction appears in One Story, The Kenyon Review, The Southern Review and Ninth Letter, and her essays appear in The Believer and The Washington Post. Originally from St. Louis, she currently teaches creative writing at Hamilton College.

Books: An Elegy for Mathematics, originally published by Origami Zoo Press, joined Bull City Press in 2015.  The 2017 edition features a new story.
