Maria Isabelle Carlos‘s work has appeared or is forthcoming in Tin House, Pleiades, Sycamore Review, and elsewhere, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, Best New Poets, and Best of the Net. She received her B.A. in English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is currently an M.F.A. candidate in poetry at Vanderbilt University, where she served as editor-in-chief of Nashville Review.
