Inch Contributor News

Christina Cook, whose poem “Sea Shards” appeared in Inch #17, has recently published her chapbook, Lake Effect. The poems in Lake Effect are set in a surreal world, yet are at the same time physically grounded in a strangely pastoral landscape along the Connecticut shore. Written in the years following the loss of her mother to cancer, they reimagine memories of her mother’s life, test her assumptions about death, and ultimately find a sort of eternal joy in watching her young sons forge their individual connections with nature at the rustic lake cottage where many of the poems were written.

Lake Effect is now available through Finishing Line Press. You can purchase a copy of Inch #17 here. Congrats Christina!
